Vacation or Trip? What’s the difference …
The difference comes down to mostly the itinerary, but also your mentality. Trying to cram both into the same week is doable, but very much up to you and what you are looking to get out of your PTO. For me, I like to have a balance. I leave beach-only vacations incredibly relaxed, but also antsy without having accomplished anything new or experiencing where I am. How do I combat this?
A balanced itinerary. You have to decide before your holiday what you are looking to get out of it.
When in Rome, we were on a mission to explore as much as possible fitting in the Colosseum, catacombs and gelato. Meanwhile, by the time we arrived in Nice, France we were desperate for a beach day where we laid on the rocks all day.
It’s all about timing. An all-inclusive resort in the Dominican Republic offers the perfect balance of a relaxing vacation on the beach or swim-up bar in the pool with a balance of activities of ziplining through the jungle and horseback riding on the beach.
